To The Buddha

5.13.2011

I'll sprincle on your sacred foot...
with the tears that appear in my eyes

I'll offer you with wild flowers...
those bloom and faded away in heart

To offer the flower Of mind...

2.09.2011

Console in the mind
The doctrine, to the world
The beauty of the Lord
In the mind,
To be offered as a flower

To the Lord Buddha.

T.Sugathananda

Let's lined up under a single flag

We, grow up in the hip of the mother Sri lanka
The Mother, protected by the blood of Sri lankan
As a breath of your own, save Sri lanka
When commemorating the 63rd independence of Sri Lanka
To be lined up under a single flag as Sri Lankans
On behalf of mother Sri Lanka
On behalf of mother Sri Lanka.

Bo Tree in the park

9.10.2010

To be offered by the Sacred Eye

To be a Sacred Fecus Bo tree…

Have I no enough merits

I’ll initiate the merits…

In front of a Sthupa

To be respected,

Have I no, enough merits

But I’m in a park

Walking children

Gathered around me

Lovers meet and hug

When hears their whispering…

Appear no jealousy

Kids run and jump

Sing, laugh and dance…

For me appear no annoyance

Staring at the, boundaries of “Sansara”

Being extending

Hear the shout of joy

Sound and echo, from far end

I’ll Initiate the perfections

By giving the shade

And the shelter,

letting the hermits to be enlightened…

Rev. T. Sugathananda Thero

The Characteristics of development of a person

Prepared with the association of “Practicing loving kindness”.

The noble friend, like a linking golden chain together
The wise will exist in the happy state…

Uju/Suju=Straight/honest
3. All the time for the people ever , forever
The morally good mind a heading never curved of crooked
Be up-right, straight, extremely straight to honest all
If do so, never miss either human of celestial plane; ever; never…!

4. Perform the duty perfectly
Practice virtually good by work, the mind and thoughts too
Suppress the unwholesomeness within you dear
So, will be worshiped by all; all the time…

Suwaca=Obedient
5. when an advice is given you dear
Do not displease and hit-out dear
By acrossing the black stone wall of sin
Able to get rid of the “sansara” Dear you are in

6. Like the swan that divides milk from water
Like the novice Rahula lived in nibbana
Establish and bright the like by obeying and abiding
Try and try to reach and attain the nibbana…

Mudu=Soft Hearted
7. Uttering the words like, fierce, wave like Tsunami
To hurt one’s mind by evil word
Never; ever speak like a talkative slander
Console the hearts by words like a celestial magic-spell

8. Close in, always to pass the time and live
If one talk slander and falsehood
Always be a “heavy rain” of soft hearted word
That put-off the wild-fire of crudeness…

Anatimani = Humble
9. When comfortably dwell in glory and wealth
Like a grown banyan tree, in a deep forest
When happens to raises up and up
The pleasure will sound and echo if not be proud

10. Well grown-up in pious way
Like a bending pod of paddy
If live, heart filled with amity and humble continuously

The description of Buddha virtues at “Missaka” rock

(1) In the land of lord Buddha righteousness Monarch
The path is lightened-up in the land of Lanka,
Right fertile soil to plant the noble teachings of Lord Buddha
The moon of “poson” rises through the rock of “Missaka”
Where the Arahant Mahinda proceeded as the ‘Little’ Buddha.

(2) O' Ven. Mahinda, the suitable time has arrived
Please! Comfort the minds of the Lanka earth
With the protection of celestial beings
the rains of noble ‘dhamma’ falls in the month of Poson.

(3) The Great King "Tissa" called-up his forty thousand followers
and went in hunting deer in the deep forest
in the nation spring holiday.
By hearing-out the name calling "Tissa"
The frightening King shocked and looked around.

(4) The Dhamma preached by the Arahant Mahinda
In the generation of ‘ Sariputta” & “Moggalana”
covered with yellow robes
perceived followers minds were bathed, consoled.

(5) Like the seven oceans of, the enlightened Buddha virtue-range
Seven followers arrived at the rock of ‘Missaka’.
Seven ‘Poson” full moons rise-up
And let the all the worthy men to hear ‘Dhamma’
